Sacred Blade’s debut album Of The Sun + Moon was released in October of 1986 on France’s Black Dragon Records. The album was recorded over a span of two years, with production commenced in September of 1984. The original LP version (released as BD015 – no longer available) featured a full colour gatefold sleeve with full libretto.

For this album Jeff wanted to avoid the use of synthesizers, samplers or sequencers. All the sounds were recorded from acoustic sources. The album has garnered much critical acclaim over the years, including the honor of being listed in Rock Hard Magazine’s Top 300 Hard ‘n’ Heavy albums of all time.
